The wave of violent riots from France spread over the weekend to Italy, as hundreds of pro-‘Palestinian’ rioters stormed the gates of Rome’s historic Colosseum and clashed with local police. The riots are part of broader protests against the cost of living and the ongoing war in Gaza.
Chaos in Rome. Masked rioters storm the Colosseum, forcing the entrance barriers. “Peaceful protest” they say. Unbelievable. https://t.co/9KROPmUWTe

Footage from the scene showed the rioters—most of them young—waving ‘Palestinian’ flags and chanting slogans inside the 2,000-year-old arena. Italian security forces worked to push the rioters out of the complex, in what became a tense confrontation at one of the world’s most famous tourist sites.

The storming of the Colosseum was part of mass demonstrations held simultaneously across Italy. Thousands marched through the streets of Rome, Milan, Turin, and other cities, protesting the country’s economic situation and Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip, in what appears to be a spread of unrest across Europe.
