At Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar's request, Israel denied entry to two Swedish MEPs who sought to visit the 'Palestinian' Authority, citing their consistent anti-Israel advocacy and calls for international legal action against Israelis.

At the request of Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, and in accordance with Israel’s Entry Law, the Population and Immigration Authority will bar two members of the European Parliament from entering Israel. The two politicians from Sweden’s Left Party, Jonas Sjöstedt and Hanna Gedin, were scheduled to arrive tonight (Sunday night into Monday) for a visit to the Palestinian Authority.

Their entry was denied because the two have consistently worked against Israel in recent years, including calling for international legal proceedings against Israelis. On various public occasions, the two have spread false accusations against Israel, including claims of genocide, deliberate starvation, and intentional harm to children and medical teams.
