An 8-year-old girl was seriously wounded in a shooting in Deir Hanna in northern Israel after being brought to a local clinic in the village. Magen David Adom, Israel’s emergency medical service, treated her at the scene and evacuated her to Poriya Medical Center in serious but stable condition, suffering from penetrating injuries.
MDA motorcycle unit medic Iyad Suleiman and MDA medic Ali Shahada said: “When we arrived at the clinic, they brought us an 8-year-old girl who was conscious and suffering from penetrating and significant injuries to her body. We provided her with initial medical treatment and evacuated her in an MDA intensive care ambulance to the hospital with her condition defined as serious and stable.”
Israel Police opened an investigation into the incident. Officers who were dispatched to the scene began searches to locate suspects in the shooting and opened an investigation into the circumstances of the case. The background to the incident is criminal and the circumstances are under investigation.
