Iran formally announced Tuesday that it is rejecting the latest proposal presented in negotiations with the United States. The rejection comes after Qatari representatives arrived in Tehran last night in an attempt to advance agreements between the sides, but the Qataris left the country before dawn.

The early departure of the Qatari representatives may indicate significant difficulties in the talks and the gaps that remain between Washington and Tehran. At this stage, no breakthrough appears likely that would allow the sides to reach agreements.
A source involved in the negotiations told Channel 14: “Within the framework of the proposals that came up in the talks, there is currently no outline that the United States and Iran can agree on. The only chance of reaching an agreement, and even that is very low, is with Russian assistance. But even in that track, Trump will have to make significant concessions.”

Amid rejected proposal and difficulties in diplomatic contacts, the assessment is strengthening that an American strike is approaching. At this stage, the central question is whether it will be a broad military operation or a limited strike.
