Two residents of the northern Israeli village of Yarka were arrested in recent days on suspicion of drug trafficking. In a raid conducted by detectives from the Western Galilee station and Border Police coastal unit fighters on a compound in the village, police uncovered about 8 kilograms of hashish and roughly 1,000 Captagon pills—a commercial quantity suspected to have been intended for distribution.

Captagon is a stimulant drug known as the “courage drug,” which was used by Hamas terrorists and ISIS terrorists. According to official reports, the drug was also used by the Nukhba force terrorists who carried out the October 7 massacre.
In addition, officers confiscated communication devices and a digital surveillance system from the compound that were used for tracking and intelligence gathering for criminal purposes. The two suspects were transferred for further investigation at the Western Galilee station.
