In an exclusive exchange with C14’s Sophia Tupolev, Netanyahu recalled telling Macron: “If we don’t stop Hamas here, you’ll see them on the streets of Paris.”
The Israeli prime minister pointed to the situation in France, where unrest and riots have raised concerns over public safety and the country’s response to radicalism. “French people see what’s happening in the streets,” he said, suggesting that the situation could eventually lead to political change in France.
When asked about the possibility of French-Israeli relations improving under a conservative government, Netanyahu responded positively: “They understand that they’re under threat,” adding that “it’s the common enemy that creates common interests.”
