Iran has ordered the terror group Hezbollah to raise its military alert level and prepare for the possibility of an imminent regional war, the Emirati news site Eram News reported Thursday, citing security and military sources in Lebanon. According to the report, Tehran believes a regional confrontation is on the horizon and has issued new directives to the terror group to increase operational readiness.

According to the Lebanese sources, the directives were conveyed as part of ongoing coordination between Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and Tehran-backed terror organizations across the Middle East. The preparations are designed to enable a coordinated military response by Iran’s proxies in the event the confrontation with Israel and the United States escalates.
At the same time, Hezbollah is working to develop a new combat structure based on decentralized authority and reduced dependence on the organization’s central leadership. Under the changes, terrorist units in the field will be able to operate independently, even if contact with senior command is severed following Israeli strikes.

According to the report, the move is designed to deal with the possibility of additional assassinations among Hezbollah’s top terrorists, following the severe blow the organization’s leadership suffered in Israeli strikes. By transferring authority to field units, the terror group is seeking to preserve its operational capability even if its senior commanders are hit.
The sources emphasized that Hezbollah is treating the Iranian directives as preparation for a scenario that could materialize in the short term, not as a final decision to launch a war. According to them, the current preparations “go beyond traditional mobilization” and include changes in command structure and how forces are deployed.
