In a historic Sukkot visit arranged by the esteemed Rabbi David Katz, Executive Director of Israel Heritage Foundation who is now in Israel, U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee paid a visit on Thursday to the Sephardic Chief Rabbi and Rishon LeTzion, HaGaon HaRav Dovid Yosef, and the Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi, HaGaon HaRav Kalman Meir Ber.

The meeting was held in a warm and cordial atmosphere, focusing on fortifying the unbreakable bond between the United States and Israel, combating the global scourge of antisemitism, and safeguarding Jewish communities worldwide. The Chief Rabbis conveyed profound appreciation to President Donald Trump for his unwavering and steadfast support for Israel and the Jewish people, lauding him as a true friend and a righteous champion among the nations.

They also expressed deep gratitude to Ambassador Huckabee for his dedicated efforts to deepen cooperation between Washington and Yerushalayim. A central part of the dialogue addressed the alarming worldwide rise in antisemitism. The Rabbis commended the U.S. administration’s resolute actions against Jew-hatred and underscored the imperative of continued collaboration to ensure the security of Diaspora Jewry.

The leaders also discussed an initiative to convene prominent global faith leaders to foster tolerance, advance interfaith dialogue, and eradicate religious hatred. “It was a great honor for me to meet with Israel’s Chief Rabbis, the Rishon LeTzion, Rabbi David Yosef, and Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Kalman Ber, during the days of Sukkos,” Huckabee said following the meeting. “I reiterated the United States’ commitment to preserving Jewish heritage and thanked the Chief Rabbis for their leadership in guiding Jewish life.
