Israel Katz warns that any Iranian strike on Israel would remove all constraints on Israeli retaliation, including targeting Iran's energy infrastructure and sending the country "back to the Stone Age."

Defense Minister Israel Katz warned Thursday that an Iranian attack on Israel would free the country from all constraints in its response—including strikes on Iran’s energy infrastructure that would send the regime “back to the Stone Age and darkness.”

Katz made the remarks at a Rosh Hashanah toast with Defense Ministry employees and Director General Maj. Gen. (res.) Amir Baram.

“An Iranian attack on Israel will free Israel from all existing constraints on striking Iran,” Katz said. “We will hit all of Iran’s national military and civilian infrastructure—including energy infrastructure—and send Iran deep into the Stone Age and darkness.”

The defense minister said Iran’s ayatollah regime knows exactly why it hasn’t attacked Israel after being struck hard twice—after Israel destroyed its nuclear program, eliminated Khamenei, and severely damaged its strategic capabilities.

But Katz pointed to warning signs. “There are signs we’re seeing that indicate the heavy economic pressure Iran is under and the fear of uprising and the regime’s collapse could push them to desperate measures,” he said.

“Israel is well prepared both defensively and offensively for every possibility—and the IDF is ready to carry out the mission.”
