The Lebanese terror group Hezbollah fired two explosive drones overnight at IDF forces operating near the Ali Taher ridge in southern Lebanon, the IDF said. Soldiers shot down one of the drones. There were no casualties among Israeli forces.
In response to the launch, Israeli forces struck Hezbollah infrastructure in the Nabatieh area of southern Lebanon. According to the IDF, the infrastructure was used by the terror group’s operatives to plan and direct terror attacks against IDF forces in the security zone and against Israeli civilians.
The IDF said the strikes were carried out to remove an immediate threat. The military added that IDF forces will continue operating in the ridge area and will not allow terrorists to advance or carry out terror attacks against the forces.
