Ra’am chairman Mansour Abbas and former MK Yoav Segalovitz have finalized a deal to run together in the upcoming Knesset elections. The two are expected to hold a joint announcement tonight (Monday), where they will officially declare the move.
Under the agreement, Segalovitz will be placed in second place on Ra’am’s Knesset slate. However, he is not expected to join as a party member, but rather to run as part of a joint list that the sides will formalize.
The move comes after months of contact between Abbas and Segalovitz, who previously served as an MK for Yesh Atid and as deputy minister for internal security. Ra’am views his addition as an attempt to broaden the list’s support base ahead of the upcoming elections.
The official announcement of the partnership is expected tonight, when the two are expected to provide additional details about the nature of the cooperation and the political messages they will present during the campaign.
