Civil Administration forces rescued three Israelis who entered areas controlled by the ‘Palestinian’ Authority in Judea and Samaria in recent hours, finding themselves in potentially life-threatening situations. The first and most serious incident occurred in the village of Ein Arik in the Binyamin region, where an armed IDF reservist who was not in uniform was spotted after mistakenly entering the area.
Coordination and Liaison Administration officers acted quickly through coordination channels and successfully extracted him unharmed, transferring him to IDF forces. At the same time, authorities received a report of a young Israeli woman spotted walking through the city of Jericho in the Jordan Valley Brigade’s sector. An initial investigation found that she had deliberately entered the ‘Palestinian’ city. Civil Administration officers moved quickly to extract her amid concerns for her safety. A third incident occurred in Bethlehem, where an Israeli known to suffer from mental instability was spotted walking through the city’s streets. ‘Palestinian’ residents in the area alerted Israeli security authorities, and he was quickly handed over to Israeli security forces.
All three incidents were transferred to the Judea and Samaria District Police for further handling. Following the unusual series of incidents, security officials reiterated their warning that “entering Area A is extremely dangerous and prohibited by law,” urging Israelis to avoid unnecessarily risking their lives by entering ‘Palestinian’ cities and villages.
