Israeli police are warning of flash floods expected today (Sunday) in the Dead Sea region, following heavy rain forecast from afternoon through evening hours. The weather could trigger flooding in Judean Desert streams and the Dead Sea area, potentially disrupting traffic.

As part of preparations, Route 90 is expected to be closed between Ein Gedi and the Neve Zohar junction. Police forces and traffic units will deploy along relevant routes to direct drivers according to weather developments. The public is asked to avoid entering stream beds and flood-prone areas, and not to attempt crossing flooded roads or flowing water channels. Drivers are also advised to check road conditions before heading out and plan trips accordingly.

Police emphasize that weather conditions in the area can change rapidly, and additional closures and traffic arrangement changes are possible depending on rainfall intensity and conditions on the ground.
