A storm has erupted over the past 24 hours after the Italian newspaper Avvenire promoted a proposal by a philosophy professor from the University of Naples to award the Nobel Peace Prize to the children of Gaza. The campaign has already garnered signatures from dozens of political figures in Italy, led by Democratic Party Secretary Elly Schlein, who is utilizing the platform for a sharp attack against Israel.
