Detectives from the Shuafat police station, working with IDF forces, Border Police fighters, and the K-9 unit, raided the home of a suspect in the village of Issawiya on suspicion of possessing combat weapons. During the operation, following an alert from a police dog, officers found a Beretta pistol, an empty magazine, ammunition, and a bag containing suspected narcotics.
Officers also found bags intended for distributing the drugs. The suspect, 28, was arrested by the forces and taken for further questioning at the Shuafat station.
According to police, the suspect will be brought to a hearing on extending his detention at the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court.
