The Central District Attorney’s Office filed serious charges Thursday against a 15-year-old Muslim from central Israel for threatening to commit an act of terror. According to the indictment, the teen earlier this month uploaded a video to a WhatsApp group focused on dog breeding, in which he filmed a military vehicle near a barn and added: “Here comes the army, may Allah shame them.”
Immediately after, the teen detailed his intentions to carry out an attack against the forces. In a voice message he recorded for group members, he said: “I want to plant an explosive for them, I know where they’re sitting… I’ll put explosives under each one of them and may God be with them.” Even after one group participant warned him that his words could lead to a report and arrests, the teen didn’t back down and sent another voice message threatening: “I’ll blow them up with explosives, soon… wait a little, they’ll get gifts from Allah.”
Following the serious threats, one group member didn’t settle for a warning and went directly to file a complaint with police. The police investigation led to the teen’s arrest and the filing of the indictment, which charges him with making terrorist threats inside an open civilian platform.
