Two men were killed when a small plane crashed near Tel Adashim in northern Israel, with ZAKA recovery teams working the difficult scene.

Around 9:20 a.m., ZAKA’s 1220 emergency hotline received a report of a small aircraft that crashed in an open area near Tel Adashim. Magen David Adom, Israel’s emergency medical service, rushed two men around age 50 from the scene in critical condition, but doctors at the hospital were forced to pronounce them dead.

ZAKA volunteers from the Northern District were called to the scene and are working to collect the extensive findings at the difficult site.

Shimon Yom Tov Weiser, a ZAKA volunteer from the Northern District handling the scene, said: “This is a very difficult scene of a plane crash in an open area. When we arrived at the location we saw the remains of the aircraft and the destruction caused by the crash. ZAKA volunteers from the Northern District are working with great dedication at the complex scene collecting all the findings and bringing them for burial.”
