Following a joint investigation by the Shin Bet and the Central Unit of the Judea and Samaria District Police, charges will be filed in the coming days against Hason, a resident of Beit Imrin in his 50s. Hason is accused of carrying out the ramming attack in March near the community of Homesh, in which Yehuda Sherman was killed. The intensive investigation led to a rapid resolution of the incident and the terrorist’s arrest.

According to the investigation, on March 21 at midday, Hason spotted three Israelis traveling in a Ranger vehicle inside the village of Beit Imrin. He allegedly decided to attack them, chased them with his van, and deliberately rammed their vehicle. The powerful impact sent the Ranger tumbling into a nearby wadi, and Yehuda Sherman, who was driving, was pronounced dead at the scene.
