Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the elimination of Hezbollah’s Radwan Force commander Malek Balut today (Thursday), which took place last night in central Beirut, delivering a stark message to Israel’s enemies. “Last night we eliminated the commander of Hezbollah’s Radwan Force in the heart of Beirut,” Netanyahu declared, adding a clear threat: “No terrorist has immunity.”
According to the prime minister, the senior terrorist who was killed “led the plan to conquer the North.” Netanyahu added that the terrorist operated under a false sense of security: “He thought he could continue directing attacks on our forces and our communities from his hidden terror headquarters in Beirut. He apparently read in the press that he had immunity in Beirut. So he read it—and that won’t happen anymore.”
Netanyahu emphasized that the policy of targeted eliminations continues across all fronts. “In the past month we’ve eliminated more than 200 Hezbollah terrorists who operated against Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers. We’re doing the same thing in Gaza,” he said. “I’m telling our enemies in the clearest possible way: anyone who threatens the State of Israel—his blood is on his head.”
Closing his remarks, the prime minister praised the security forces for the successful operation. “Thank you to our heroic fighters, to our intelligence personnel, to our air force. You are the best in the world,” Netanyahu said, adding: “I salute you, the people of Israel salute you!”
