Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yisrael Katz today (Wednesday) confirmed an IDF attack in Beirut, which was aimed at the commander of the Radwan force in the Hezbollah terrorist organization with the aim of thwarting him. The attack is a firm message from Israel that its long arm will reach any terrorist, wherever and whenever it sees fit.
In a joint statement issued on their behalf, it was emphasized that the Radwan Force terrorists are primarily responsible for the ongoing firing at northern communities and harm to IDF soldiers. The operation was intended to significantly damage the terrorist organization’s capabilities and send a clear deterrent message to Hezbollah’s leadership.
It was also stated that “no terrorist has immunity,” and it was made clear that Israel will continue to act with determination to achieve all its enemies and murderers. “We promised to bring security to the residents of the north – this is how we do it and this is how we will do it!” the statement concluded, emphasizing the government’s commitment to restoring peace and security to the country’s northern border.
