Israeli forces uncovered a huge weapons stockpile during a nighttime operation in Qalandia, seizing assault rifles, drones, and over 2,100 rounds of ammunition while arresting six suspects.

Israeli forces raided the village of Qalandia in the Binyamin Brigade sector overnight Monday into Tuesday in an operation to thwart terror activity and arrest wanted suspects. The troops hit multiple targets in the village to locate illegal weapons and detain terrorists.

During the searches, forces uncovered a massive cache of weapons including two M16 rifles, an M4 rifle, a Carlo-type weapon, a shotgun, and a hunting rifle. Soldiers also seized eight handguns along with 25 matching magazines, various weapon parts, and military stun grenades intended for illegal use.

Alongside the numerous firearms, troops discovered a huge ammunition stockpile containing approximately 2,100 rounds of 5.56mm caliber ammunition and additional rounds. Forces also confiscated advanced combat equipment and technology including six tactical vests, telescopic sights, two signal jammers, and three drones, as well as knives, fireworks, and cell phones.

At the end of the overnight operation, six suspects at the scene were arrested and transferred for further interrogation at the Binyamin Brigade’s interrogation facility. The operation’s success and the scope of the seized materiel represent a significant blow to terror groups’ armament capabilities.
