The IDF is denying that the man killed in this morning’s incident at Mishgav Am died from anti-tank missile fire. According to military sources, the investigation is now focused on two main possibilities: fire from Israeli forces during operational activity in the area, or mortar fire carried out by Hezbollah. The circumstances of the incident are still being examined, and the IDF emphasizes that the findings are not yet final.
The IDF said in a statement: “The IDF is conducting an investigation by all relevant parties following the fire toward Mishgav Am this morning, which resulted in the death of an Israeli civilian. The possibility that this involved fire from our forces is being examined. The IDF shares in the family’s grief during this difficult time and is in direct contact with the kibbutz.”
Earlier today, it was cleared for publication that Ofer Moskowitz (Pushko), a member of Kibbutz Mishgav Am, was the victim killed this morning from what was initially reported as an anti-tank missile fired by Hezbollah terrorists toward the northern region. The direct hit led to his death at the scene.
