Iranian state broadcasting issued an “urgent warning” Wednesday directed at oil facilities in Gulf states—Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar. The notice called on citizens and residents near the following sites to evacuate immediately: the Samref refinery in Saudi Arabia, the Al Husan gas field in the UAE, the Al-Jubail petrochemical complex in Saudi Arabia, and the Mesaieed petrochemical complex in Qatar.
The warning stated that these facilities have been designated as “direct and legitimate targets” and are expected to be hit in the coming hours. All workers and residents are urged to move away from the area and relocate to a safe place without delay.
